Surprise, I’m Pregnant! Second Pregnancy Symptoms & Recap
Guess what?! I’m alive! Also… I’m pregnant! I know I’ve been MIA for almost a year now, and I’ll be updating you more about why on my YouTube channel very soon. BUT, I’m back y’all. And I’m so excited to share this wonderful news with you. We are having another baby soon!
In this post I’m sharing all of my Second pregnancy symptoms I’ve been having for baby #2. Enjoy!
I am not excited for this second baby.
Just kidding. I’m totally excited! But I’d been lying if I said I wasn’t at least a little terrified about how this whole 1 to 2 transition thing is going to work. I think my biggest fear is that my first-born lady will be mad at me when baby #2 comes. I know things will have to shift, but I really hope I will be able to stay close to her and keep the strong bond that we have as we grow our family.
Were we trying to have a second baby?
Yes! We were definitely trying to conceive when we got that positive pregnancy test. We knew from the start that we wanted our first-born to have a little sibling to grow and play with.
Is our first born excited?
I think so! I’m not entirely sure if she understands what is going on since she is only 2 and a half years old. When I tell her there is a baby in mama’s belly. She giggles and says “baby stuck” while she grabs my belly. So I think she gets it? Ha!
Second Pregnancy Symptoms
We had been trying for a couple months and I swore I was pregnant both times before coming up with a negative pregnancy test. The thing is… early pregnancy symptoms (at least for me) are pretty much the same as PMS symptoms. I would get some breast tenderness and a little cramping and was convinced I was pregnant. It wasn’t until the third month where I had the same symptoms, but this time it was because of pregnancy!
My second pregnancy symptoms have been very similar to my first pregnancy. The only difference with this one is I’m having to chase around a toddler while enduring them.
Second Pregnancy 1st Trimester Symptoms:
Cramping
Having to constantly pee
Nausea
Tiredness
Second Pregnancy 2nd Trimester Symptoms:
The nausea and tiredness might have been a little worse the second time around. Or maybe it’s because of the toddler chasing. Who knows. I was just so exhausted that first trimester. The second trimester went pretty smoothly just like with my first pregnancy. I may have popped a little sooner too.
Second Pregnancy 3rd Trimester Symptoms:
My belly is in the way!
Heartburn
Now that I am in my third trimester, I am really starting to feel the difficulties of being pregnant while taking care of a toddler. I’m constantly having to guard my belly and tender breasts from her jabbing knees and sharp little elbows. I also can’t hold her in my lap like I used to because it hurts when she puts all that pressure on my belly.
But we are so excited and can’t wait to meet our baby-girl #2!
